Head Start of Delaware County is a federally funded program committed to making a positive difference in the lives of eligible young children and their families. We provide a quality school readiness program to enhance the intellectual, physical, emotional and social development of young children.

We offer support services and educational opportunities for parent involvement. Honesty, trust, respect, teamwork, accountability, and confidentiality, are key components as we partner with families and the community. We believe in helping families get a "head start" on the road to life-long learning.

We are pleased to announce that Head Start of Delaware County has received the Early Head Start Grant. We will now offer services to infants, toddlers and pregnant moms. The plan for the infant and toddler program is designed to promote the development of the children and to support their parents in their role as parents. The plan for pregnant mothers will be to assist them in accessing comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care along with all other required services. We will reach out to dads to provide opportunities for them to be involved, thus adding strength to the family unit.
