Head Start believes in a family approach to child development. We recognize and respect parents as the primary educator in their child's life, and it is our aim to work closely with parents/guardians to help in the education of their children.
The Education/Early Child Development component provides children with a safe and stimulating learning environment. Children must feel emotionally safe before they can learn and grow effectively. We value each child as an individual and work hard to meet each child's individual needs and interests. Head Start offers a high quality, play-based, and developmentally appropriate program. It follows comprehensive Head Start guidelines to ensure that the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of each child are met.
Several programming options are available to help meet the varied needs of our Head Start children and their families.
