Social Services

Social Services provide a "helping hand" to our Head Start families when in need. Help or referrals are available for special needs such as food, clothing, and shelter. Referrals for fire victims, emergency situations and crisis intervention are made. Parents are made aware of community services and resources. They are given information for employment and educational opportunities. When needed, Social Services will serve as an advocate and spokesperson for Head Start families. The Social Service Coordinator will also keep a watchful eye on attendance, checking on family needs if attendance is below average.
